I have been using the Avast anti-virus for sometime on my Xp system. But I am planning to upgrade to Vista. Should I get another anti-virus software?

I'd recommend Kaspersky Internet Security because Vista eats a bit more memory than XP, and Kaspersky is decent with the computer resources, not to mention it has one of the best firewalls out there.

Also a good spyware should accompany the anti virus, so keep that in mind also.

Good luck.

kaspersky is also a good option..i am using norton currently and i never had any problem with that..for Avast i would say you would be needing upgrade to their pro version for vista as home edition may not be that worthy of trying it on Vista..

Thats true. A paid antivirus is a good choice however NOD 32 wasn't that good. I used it on XP for 5 Month, and I remember that the last time I've made a scan I found no virus, then I uninstall it tried out Kaspersky 6. It found 3 trojans.

Kaspersky beats NOD in my opinion. I'm no sure about the price/quality ratio, that might be the same, NOD is cheaper right?

Yes. NOD32 seems cheap to me. Its good and i believe many people already try it recently. More people already love it because its light and better than other antivirus.

My father also uses NOD32. And what I mean by that? My father and his hole workmates do. They don't complain about their computer to much, but they have a good local manager that takes care of the software, and updates it weekly. I guess that a good update is the key to NOD32.

I need to agree that f-secure also another good antivirus. Its good for big company if you run some company. I'm not try it unless my PC down if my nod32 cannot do anything..

I get a free copy of this anti-virus software. The serial number got it from a crack site. I will install anti-virus software into my computer in case any emergency.

I have been using Avast home edition for the last one year. It's good with a regular update.
