battery is not working.. Options

my compaq laptop is having a lithium ion battery from HP and i purchased it a year back..it was doing alright until one day i took it out for cleaning the laptop's base and its case..but when i put it back..it did not resulted in starting of the laptop and now i have to use direct supply from my AC wire to keep working on that..what can be the reason?i have checked it many times and its well in its place..but not working without direct supply..whats wrong??

Maybe the connector for battery at the bottom notebook could not connect properly with battery. Check again if there something between connector and battery. Another thing do you sure your battery is not dead?

My guess is because of your fius in the adapter...it might be burn off...

Always have a spare Battery pack and for this try to check it by using a Multimeter. If it shows the same or more than the rated voltage then it is okey otherwise it is lost dude. time for a new pak.

definately always good to have a spare battery in your comp bag. Don't want to lose any data!

Yea , its quite pssble ur battery is no more. Get a new pack , and the next time u decide to take it out , do it with a bit more care :P

You should pull off your battery when you dont want to use it anymore..

i mean..if u prefer to use AC...its better to pull off your battery first because it will help to lenghten your battery life
