My cd rom drive is locked with a cd trapped inside. How do I open it? Anyone ran into similar problem before?

Restart your computer and try again, if same problem, unhook your cd drive.

Do what powell ask you to do. During startup try open the cdrom.

There is a hole on the front PANEL of the CD rom. . put a pin of that size in it. . .
VIOLA. . .CD DRIVE POPS OUT!

VIOLA. . .CD DRIVE POPS OUT! but if is not careful it can result in some damage to the lens of CD writer too..i would say restart your computer and try opening it then..it should do the trick..

It mainly occurs due to dusting problem try to dust out ur cabinet with an air blower.

use the pin method carefully. As suggested above. If the method does not work, take out your drive and carefully pry it open. I had to do it once and though it was worrying cause i thought I would break it, It worked out just fine.

There is no problem with the pin method ever. Just take a pin , put it into the hole , giv a little pressure , and the tray will come out. Hav done it 100 times on my old PC. Dsnt affect the lens at all :)

ya.you can try it doing by the pin.it doesnot affect the lens.its a common problem.
