bcTester 4.6 is a freeware software for barcode reading (linear and 2 dimensional) on digital images captured by scanning or photographing. A lot of input formats are supported, e.g. BMP, GIF, PNG, TIFF, JPG. Version 4.5 reads barcodes from Adobe PDF-Files as well. All common barcode types are recognized,, e. g. 2 of 5 familiy, code 39, code 93, codabar, code128, ean, ucc and upc, GS1 DataBar (POS), patchcodes, Aztec, Data Matrix, QR Code and PDF 417.
